Québec’s Minister of International relations looks back on the 24th Session of the Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie

Following the 24th session the Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie (CMF) in Québec City, Québec Minister of International Relations and Minister Responsible for La Francophonie Monique Gagnon-Tremblay mentioned the positive developments within La Francophonie as well as the importance of continuing efforts towards overcoming obstacles.

In an October 16, 2008 press release, Minister Gagnon-Tremblay mentioned that the 24th session of the CMF gave ministers responsible for La Francophonie the opportunity to come to agreements on “the need to better inform the citizens of [OIF] member states about the efforts of the OIF. Every day, these efforts are aimed at promoting the French language and cultural diversity, human rights, equality between men and women, education and training for young people, and sustainable development in communities in the French-speaking world,” declared Ms. Gagnon-Tremblay.
