The European Commission reports that the call for proposals on the Mediterranean Sea Basin Cross-Border Cooperation Program is underway. This program aims at strengthening cooperation between the European Union (EU) and partner countries on the Mediterranean Sea. One hundred and seventeen regions in nineteen different countries are eligible for the program. Fifteen countries have already joined.
One of the four program priorities is the “promotion of cultural dialogue and local governance.” The deadline for submitting proposals is September 16, 2009. To learn more about this cooperation program, we invite you to consult the European Commission website.
