The call for projects from the francophone research collective Littératures au Sud still open

Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) indicates on its website that the call for projects by the Littératures au Sud francophone researchers collective will remain open till October 25. This call for projects is intended for researchers, research teams, or laboratories working in French in order to promote networking through joint research projects and articles.

“The Collective reaffirms that literature is a key component in individual training, education, and development. Not only does it “play a critical and invaluable role” in the context of globalization, that of showing relationships” and teaching how the world really works (E. Glissant), but it also leads to useful training in the new cultural, publishing, and media professions,” specified the AUF website.

“In this light, the Collective proposes a non-exhaustive list of themes and perspectives around which different projects could be built: two or three-year team research projects, symposiums, collective works, databases, etc.” Four main areas were identified:

  • New directions in literary research
  • Literary and text databases
  • Preservation, promotion, and use of francophone manuscripts
  • Children’s and youth literature

AUF’s support consists of complementary funding of projects lasting one to four years with a budget of budget of 2,000 to 20,000 euros a year, depending on the project’s nature, size, and spinoffs. For information on presentation documents and application procedures, visit the AUF website .
