The Namur International French-Language Film Festival is offering a writing workshop for scriptwriters and filmmakers from the Maghreb, sub-Saharan Africa, and the French-speaking Middle East

The “De l’Écrit à l’Écran” writing workshop organized in conjunction with Wallonie Bruxelles International runs from October 3 to 8, 2010, as part of the 25th edition of the Namur International French-Language Film Festival in Belgium.

“The workshop is aimed at scriptwriters and filmmakers from the Maghreb, sub-Saharan Africa, and the French-speaking Middle East looking for guidance in rewriting their scripts for short works of fiction. It seeks to spur the creation of cinematographic works by offering script-writing support to four projects slated to be produced within a year of the workshop,” notes the Academic Agency of La Francophonie (AUF).

Applications must be submitted by August 8, 2010.
