The Delegation of the European Union to Egypt has just launched a call for proposals to support arts and culture cooperation projects. Two main priorities have been identified: 1) the promotion of cultural cooperation with Egypt and 2) culture and human rights. All areas of contemporary art will be considered.
Cultural cooperation projects must seek to develop the skills of Egyptian actors and the culture sector as a whole in a free and innovative fashion. More precisely, proposals must aim to develop the production and distribution of contemporary art and its ties to the regions and European artistic trends.
Projects must be submitted by 3 p.m. on June 2, 2011, Cairo time. All other details are available in English on the Delegation of the European Union to Egypt website.
