The International Symposium on the Measurement of Digitized Cultural Products, announced in our April 2016 newsletter, was held May 9 to 11, 2016, in Montréal and attended by more than 130 participants from around the world.
Considered were the issues for statisticians and researchers arising out the new platforms for disseminating digital cultural content and their impact on markets. Researchers and other experts discussed new methodologies and practices for better understanding the challenges involved in producing statistics on the cultural economy and digitized cultural products.
The Symposium Proceedings are available online. They contain the collected contributions of the academic researchers and other experts who submitted their thoughts in written form.
