Cultural Policy Update #2

The Boekman Foundation (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) just released the second issue of its international ejournal Cultural Policy Update (CPU).

Entitled "Making better use of cultural policy research findings," this publication summarizes the key factors that interfere with the translation of cultural (policy) research into practice and also asks what can be done to moderate such a translation or transfer.

CPU #2 articles address themes such as:

• Cultural observatories and their challenge to convert information into knowledge;
• Labour market research and the advantage of a web-based cultural index;
• Knowledge-sharing in the field of arts and health care;
• Research and public debate as instruments to gain insight in the culture of a variety of minorities in Serbia;
• How to evaluate the impact of cultural education within cultural organizations;
• Co-creation of relevant knowledge to bridge the gap between academia, the cultural field and public cultural policy.
