“Les directives opérationnelles et autres techniques de mise en œuvre de la Convention sur la diversité des expressions culturelles dans un contexte numérique”

During the 5^th ordinary session of the Conference of Parties in June, the International Network of Lawyers for the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (RIJDEC) presented the first part of a report on implementation of the Convention in the digital age. The second part will be presented on October 25 at the international forum in celebration of the Convention’s 10^th anniversary.

The first part of the report focuses on the use of operational guidelines (OGs) and other techniques for implementing Convention techniques in a digital context, and is divided into three sections:

• Pros and cons of using OGs to guide Parties’ implementation of the Convention in the digital age;
• Pros and cons of using complementary approaches to effectively implement the Convention in the digital age based on UNESCO practices and international law;
• RIJDEC member recommendations on the use of OGs and other techniques.
