“The Cultural Industries in CARICOM: Trade and Development Challenges”— 2007/01/23

The Caribbean Regional Negotiating Machinery (CRNM) has published a study entitled “The Cultural Industries in CARICOM: Trade and Development Challenges.” The study was completed in November 2006 and received financial support from PROINVEST, a European Union–ACP (Africa, Caribbean, Pacific) Countries partnership program, developed and began by the European Commission on the ACP countries’ behalf. Among other things, the study attempts to assess the economic contribution of cultural/creative industries in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), to identify the factors constraining the global competitiveness of the sector, and to analyze relevant trade and investment issues. You can take a look at the study for yourself on the Internet.
