The Accords bilatéraux et diversité culturelle newsletter examines the legal and political implications of the UNESCO Convention

On the occasion of the second session of the Conference of Parties to the Convention, the Accords bilatéraux et diversité culturelle newsletter examines the legal and political implications of the Convention and its implementation. “First, we look at the results from the Conference of Parties and analyze the current state of WTO negotiations in the audiovisual sector. Second, we have excerpts from four scholarly articles published since the Convention was adopted in 2005 that appraise the Convention’s symbolic, political, and legal impact. Third, we showcase the results of the U40 cultural diversity forum held prior to the Conference of Parties,” reads the introduction to the issue.
