The newsletter ARTerial Network has announced that this organization has commissioned research into the viability, structure and operational modes of a transnational fund for the arts on the African continent. The final research report—Towards an African Fund for Arts and Culture: the need for an accessible, independent and efficient fund to promote African creativity and its regional and international distribution—was made possible by two of the Arterial Network’s funding partners, the Doen Foundation and the Stromme Foundation. The report is available on the ARTerial Network website.
ARTerial Network describes itself as “an informal, dynamic network of individuals, organizations, donors, companies and institutions engaged in the African cultural sector. The Network was formed to support the effectiveness and growth of the African arts and culture in civil society and to enhance the sustainability of creative industries in Africa.”
