United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) has announced the publication of Cities, Cultures, and Developments, a report marking the fifth anniversary of Agenda 21 for Culture.
“The report seeks to draw attention to certain cities that have promoted or actively applied this statement and to bring together and organize ideas that could be used as a backbone to the Culture Commission’s work and help UCLG as a whole over the next five years,” according to the Culture 21 website.
The report is made up of twenty articles, including this introduction. Twelve articles were written by prominent officials and officers working in cities, local governments, and associations closely related to Agenda 21 for Culture, while seven others were written by researchers, activists, and civil society leaders.
The report is available in English, French, and Spanish from the Culture 21 website.
