Europe-China Cultural Compass

A year of research, including over a hundred interviews and discussions with cultural practitioners on collaboration experiences between Europe and China, has resulted in the publication of Europe-China Cultural Compass, an initiative by EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) partners in China, the Goethe Institute, the British Council, and the Danish Cultural Institute.

The publication features a glossary with selected, key intercultural vocabulary and a broad range of knowledge relevant to cooperation: contextual knowledge of Europe and China (history, society, media, value systems, etc.), information on how the cultural sectors work differently, case stories of cultural practitioners, a project cycle analysis detailing challenges, learning, and practices, and an extensive chapter on resources.
