Cultural Policy and the Public Administration of Culture in Canada (Les politiques culturelles provinciales et territoriales du Canada. Origines, évolutions et mises en œuvre has just been released.

This over 600–page work is the result of more than five years of research by a team of 16 researchers and professors from a dozen Canadian universities. It provides an overview of the diverse origins of Canadian cultural policies and the choices made in developing them. It also deals with Québec’s position and the scope and range of its initiatives in this area compared to other Canadian provinces and territories.

The work is published in French by Presses de l’Université Laval (PUL) under the direction of Diane Saint-Pierre, professor at Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS), and Monica Gattinger, associate professor at the School of Political Studies, University of Ottawa.
