Final summary of the Conference on the Culture/Trade Linkage in the Digital Era

The March 2014 edition of the newsletter mentioned the Conference on the Culture/Trade Linkage in the Digital Era jointly organized by Centre for the Study of Integration and Globalization (CEIM) and the Coalition for Cultural Diversity as part of a series of conferences held across Canada addressing implementation of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. Three workshops were held:

  • Cultural consumption: Trends, challenges, and new approaches
  • The next generation of researchers
  • ICT resistance and opportunities for the governance of the culture/trade linkage
