“Les directives opérationnelles et autres techniques de mise en œuvre de la Convention sur la diversité des expressions culturelles dans un contexte numérique”

During the 5th ordinary session of the Conference of Parties in June, the International Network of Lawyers for the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (RIJDEC) presented the first part of a report on implementation of the Convention in the digital age. The second part will be presented on October 25 at the international forum in celebration of the Convention’s 10th anniversary.

The first part of the report focuses on the use of operational guidelines (OGs) and other techniques for implementing Convention techniques in a digital context, and is divided into three sections:

  • Pros and cons of using OGs to guide Parties’ implementation of the Convention in the digital age;
  • Pros and cons of using complementary approaches to effectively implement the Convention in the digital age based on UNESCO practices and international law;
  • RIJDEC member recommendations on the use of OGs and other techniques.
