UNESCO Global Report

This first-ever 2005 Convention Global Report was launched at the 9th Intergovernmental Committee session on December 16, 2015. The report presents the work of 14 independent experts as well as the editor-in-chief and secretary of the 2005 Convention, who analyze how the Convention has been and is being implemented. Its purpose is to help track implementation of the Convention in response to the quadrennial reports provided by the Parties. The 10 chapters address topics such as media diversity, the challenges of the digital age, civil society participation, promoting the Convention in international forums, and culture as an aspect of sustainable development.

The complete report is available in English and French on the UNESCO website. A summary is also available.
