“Arts & the Economy, Using Arts and Culture to Stimulate State Economic Development”

The June 16 edition of the Observgo newsletter looks at a study entitled “Arts & the Economy, Using Arts and Culture to Stimulate State Economic Development” published in the United States by the NGA Center for Best Practices.

The study is described as follows: “Arts and culture constitute valuable means for stimulating the economic development of U.S. states—provided that state governments recognize the importance of the creative sector and are able to deploy the strategies required to integrate creative industries in their economic development plans. This report by the National Governors Association is designed to offer insights and examples from states across the country to help governors to use the arts and culture to stimulate their state’s economic development.”

The Observgo newsletter is available in English and French on the Observatoire de l’administration publique website.

The “Arts & the Economy” study is available, in English, on the NGA Center for Best Practices website and from the Observgo website.
