Cultural Policy Update: a new international ejournal

Cultural Policy Update (CPU) is a new international ejournal initiated by the Boekman Foundation (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) and devoted to developments in cultural policies worldwide. If cultural policy in general refers to government interventions to protect or encourage activities in the cultural field, this first issue of CPU explores the limitations of this concept: cultural policies need adjusting, the public domain redefining.

The first issue, Supporting the arts in spinning times, contains the following articles: “Art and Politics: Beyond Autonomy,” “Modernizing the Slovenian Public Sector,” “Crossover in Policy Is Developing Step by Step,” “Beyond the Glitz: the Film Business in India,” and “Activating Philanthropy: the Artsupport Australia Model for Cultural Funding.”

The full contents table can be consulted on the Boekman Foundation website.
