Enhancing Fundamental Freedoms Through the Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions

In recent months a number of countries have had the opportunity to take part in capacity-building workshops to enhance their ability to draft quadrennial periodic reports and monitor policy, data collection, and the development of national-level indicators. All this is part of the Enhancing Fundamental Freedoms Through the Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions program, which was the subject of a cooperation agreement signed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. The series of twelve programs has so far occurred in Rwanda, Cambodia, Indonesia, Cuba, Senegal, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Viet Nam and Morocco. Burkina Faso, Colombia and Tunisia are also slated to host training sessions.
