Prior to the 10th session of the Intergovernmental Committee, Canada submitted its second quadrennial periodic report to the Secretariat. As in 2012, Québec submitted its own report as an appendix to the Canadian report. These reports document Québec and Canada?s best practices regarding the diversity of cultural expressions in recent years. They also showcase measures put in place to address digital technology issues.
In 2016, 31 other reports were submitted by various Convention Parties, such as France, Belarus, Argentina, Indonesia, Senegal, and Oman.
As a reminder, under Article 9 on information sharing and transparency, the Parties to the Convention must submit a periodic report to the Secretariat every four years on their territory?s implementation of the Convention.
The quadrennial periodic reports are available on the Convention website.
