New-Zeland - Ministry’s Statement of Intent for the period 2005 to 2009, May 19, 2005 – 2005/05/19

The 2005-2009 strategy in matters of culture and patrimony intends to warrant the development of the New Zealand culture while taking into account its national particularities, but also the globalization impacts – notably its effects regarding questions of identity. The main strategies anticipated are: improvement of communications and cooperation between the different agents responsible for culture; development of the strategic counsel office; strengthening of management within the agencies supported by the Ministry of Culture; improvement of services; introduction of major projects; and institutionalization of awareness to the contribution of culture.
