The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and UNESCO will hold a Film Production Workshop for Professional Producers of Colombia, a 5-day intensive seminar in Bogotá, February 27 to March 3, 2006.
Designed for up to 50 new-generation producers, the Workshop will be based on the US Independent cinema model, and will be conducted by 5 well-known professors-professionals from the USA. The Workshop will cover all aspects of film production, from project development to marketing and distribution, as well as digital and other new technologies in the audiovisual industry.
Established in 1990, the MPAA Film Production and Screenwriting Workshop Program has provided a strong foundation for hundreds of film makers and film students in Workshops in Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Brasília, Mexico City, Porto Alegre, Miami, Rio de Janeiro and Madrid. Workshops and seminars are co-sponsored by prominent Latin American and European government, academic and private institutions. The Program is coordinated by the MPAA Latin American Regional Office in Sao Paulo, Brasil.
