Mali - Creation of the Agency for the promotion of the cultural industries, 2006/03/07

The Mali ministry of Culture announces the creation of the Agency for the promotion of the cultural industries, placed under its authority and which will operate in partnership with other ministries, notably those of Handicraft and Tourism, Investments Promotion. This Agency’s mission consists in backing up, supporting and developing entrepreneurship in the field of culture and the arts, « which will allow professionalizing this sector that generates very important financial and social repercussions on the national economy », as is underlined.

Culture specialists, experts and entrepreneurs met last March 6 to select the 6 units which will make up the training program for the Malian culture enterprises, intended for culture managers and technicians.
