According to a release on French government portal Service-Public.fr, the section can be used to access a multipurpose dictionary for quick definitions, synonyms, conjugations, and translations. Accompanying the dictionary is “Alexandria,” an intelligent aid that helps you with any unfamiliar words you might come across. The release notes that the tool allows users to look up a word’s definitions, synonyms, and semantics. It can also translate into 22 languages (Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, English, Estonian, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish). Users can also submit questions to linguist Bernard Cerquiglini, take a French language quiz, and try their hand at Bernard Pivot’s dictations.
