The Observatory of Cultural Politics in Africa has announced that the 17th edition of Rencontres théâtrales internationales du Cameroun (RETIC) will be held from November 17 to 24. According to OCPA News:
“Rencontres théâtrales internationales is an annual international theater festival that brings together people who work in theater from around the world. The event ties between African and international theater, with a view to creating a framework to promote sharing and cooperation between people working in culture, while improving mutual understanding in order to contribute to peace and friendship in a world of perpetual conflict.
“RETIC offers a number of events, including theater performances, a conference, a symposium, roundtable discussions, meetings between artists and decision makers from the world of theater, workshops and training sessions led by international experts, trade shows (for books, sets, costumes, posters, and photography), and film and video screenings.”
