The Global Alliance for Cultural Diversity recently hosted a training session for cultural entrepreneurs in Senegal as part of the “Capacity Building in the Senegalese Music Sector” program. According to the alliance:
“Thirty trainees from various public and private cultural structures took part in the six-session workshop. The workshop consisted of three sessions on music and new technology, which taught trainees how to design and manage websites at lower costs, and three sessions on cultural business administration dealing with legal issues, event driven communication, and management and accounting.
“Over the past decade, Tringa Music and Development, through its label Africa Fête, has provided career training in the performing arts.”
