29th International Grand Prix for Author’s Documentaries

International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) reports on its website that URTI (the International Radio and Television University) awarded its 29th International Grand Prix for Author’s Documentaries on June 7, 2010, at the 50th Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

“The Urti Prize went to the Italian documentary Me, My Gypsy Family, and Woody Allen, by RAI’s Laura Halilovic.

This 29th edition attracted a record number of entries: 183 documentaries presented by 112 international TV stations from 50 countries. Four of the ten finalists came from OIF member countries.

Created in 1981, URTI’s annual International Grand Prix for Author’s Documentaries rewards outstanding documentaries for their choice of theme and cultural and social research. The winner receives $10,000,” notes OIF.
