Fonds francophone d’aide au développement cinématographique: Call for applications

Fonds francophone d’aide au développement cinématographique, initiated by francophone partners (Société de développement des entreprises culturelles du Québec [SODEC], Telefilm Canada, Centre du Cinéma et de l’Audiovisuel de la Communauté française de Belgique, Centre du cinéma et de l’image animée français, Film Fund Luxembourg, and the Swiss Federal Office of Culture), aims to support the codevelopment and, indirectly, the coproduction of French-language feature films likely to reach the audiences of the French-speaking countries involved. Administration of the fund has been entrusted to Festival International du Film Francophone de Namur (FIFF).

To be eligible, projects must involve a Canadian producer and a producer from Belgium, France, Luxembourg, or Switzerland. Selected projects will receive assistance covering up to 50% of eligible costs, but not exceeding 40,000 euros per project.

For the third edition, applications must be emailed to fondsfrancophone@fiff.be by December 19, 2011.

An overview of the fund, the 2011–2012 call for applications, and the application form are available on the FIFF website.
