OIF: Second call for proposals for the distribution of francophone film and audiovisual works

The International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) supports the promotion of film and television programs by francophone artists from the South. Following the success of the initial program in 2012, OIF has launched a second call for proposals.

Support may take one or more of the following forms:

  • Assistance with the creation and/or online distribution of promotional tools (brochures, catalogues, trailers, video streaming sites, etc.);
  • Assistance with participation in international and regional markets (DISCOP, MIP-TV, MIP-COM, Sunny Side of the doc, Medimed, RADO, SEFOR, festival markets, etc.);
  • Assistance with the organization of promotional events (press conferences or advertising activities);
  • Assistance with the production of foreign versions (subtitling or dubbing) of certain works.

The deadline for submissions is February 7, 2013.

Please note that due to the over-representation of Sub-Saharan African works in the first call for proposals, particular attention will be given to proposals including works from the Caribbean, the Maghreb, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific. In addition, efforts to distribute beyond the main buyers of francophone programs from the South (TV5 Monde, Canal France International, and Canal + Afrique) will be appreciated.

For more information on this program, including eligibility and the application process, please visit the OIF website.
