Government of Québec contributes $50,000 to International Fund for Cultural Diversity

The Québec government’s contribution of $50,000 to the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) was announced on October 20, 2015, the 10th anniversary of the Convention’s adoption, by then-Minister of Culture and Communications and Minister responsible for the Protection and Promotion of the French Language Hélène David and Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie Christine St-Pierre.

Contributions to the IFCD are used to fund projects in developing countries to help build a dynamic cultural sector. Contributions to the IFCD have funded 84 projects in 49 developing countries since its inception in 2010.
