Applications for the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) are currently open.
The UCCN was founded in 2004 to promote international cooperation between cities that identified creativity as a strategic driver of sustainable urban development. Member cities work together for a shared goal—to make creativity and cultural industries the core of their local development plan by actively cooperating on an international level.
The UCCN currently comprises 116 cities in 54 countries and covers seven creative fields:
